Seattle, Washington - The 2024 Leadership and Golf Invitational, held from September 16-17, saw some of the nation's top women's golf teams compete at the stunning Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Washington. USC clinched the team title with a score of 5-under-par, distancing themselves by nine strokes from runner-up Grand Canyon University. The individual honors were shared by Riana Mission of San Francisco and USC’s Catherine Park, who both finished at 8-under-par 208.
Oregon State secured fourth place, with Kyra Ly leading the team, just missing a top-10 finish. Meanwhile, Colorado, despite a rough final day, finished in eighth place. Maria Eidhagen Harrouch, a standout from Colorado, tied for eighth in the individual leaderboard. Fresno State wrapped up their tournament in 15th place, with Amelia Garibaldi as their top scorer.
Chambers Bay Golf Course, known for hosting the 2015 U.S. Open, is a challenging links-style course that stretches over 7,100 yards from the championship tees. Its undulating fairways and large dunes make it visually stunning but tricky, especially under the cool, windy conditions that defined the final day of the tournament. Several teams struggled with the weather, which contributed to higher-than-expected scores during the last round.
The entire event was streamed live on GKLive.tv, allowing golf fans to follow the action and stay updated on the leaderboard throughout the tournament.
